Jay and Dee moved back to Center in 2018 where they both became active members of the Tenaha Church of Christ.

Some of his favorite past times were talking about and watching sports, sports, and more sports, especially the Longhorns and Astros. He loved training for 1/2 marathons when time and health allowed. He loved his church family and was always up for a religious discussion. He was the one you wanted to call when you had a Bible question. He could quickly quote a chapter and verse that answered your question without hesitation.

Romans 8:28-29
28 And we know that for those who loved God
all things work together for good, for those
who are called according to his purpose.

29 For those whom he foreknew he also
predestined to be conformed to the image of
his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn
among many brothers.
